The Third Floor eBook Judi Loren Grace Reviews

I read Judi's story of the time she spent in a home for unwed mothers. It is too bad that the girls were made to feel the need to hide their condition. However, my sister was young and pregnant in 1990 and was pretty much treated the same. She quit school because she couldn't tolerate being someone's writing project about unwed mothers. She got married to the child's father which eventually ended in divorce. This was the best choice at the time as our parents were definitely not supportive. Maybe being sent to a home for unwed mothers would have been a better choice. Hopefully they would have been more helpful than what happened to Judi in the 1960s. I can certainly sympathize with Judi and her loss.
Just not very skilled writing.
I think Judie's survival had a lot to do with her sense of humor. I remember Judi from high school and I always wondered what happened to her. She was so friendly and fun and full of life.
Well written and insightful on what was happening at that time.
Thank you, Judi, for your unabashedly honest memoir, however painful it may have been for you to write. I hope you have peace with all your decisions made by you (and some not by you). Your book means so much to me, for reasons I still cannot feel comfortable disclosing. You are so brave.
